Your safety comes first. Do not do anything that may place you in danger.
Safety is everyone’s responsibility. Look out for one another to keep each other safe!
Volunteers are not expected to take charge of emergency situations, although your help is appreciated!
Always know where medical help is located or who the first aid trained staff members are.
If you see a suspicious object or package, do not approach it and notify a staff member.

I will wear clothing that is appropriate and functionally suited for my volunteer duties.

  • Our goal is to ensure that you are safe during your shift. For example, it would be inappropriate to wear slippers if you know that you will be moving around and carrying heavy objects. Similarly, if you are working outdoors, bring a hat and wear light clothing!

I will not wear clothing that includes offensive images or language.

  • Clothing that contains swear words, slurs, or inappropriate imagery will not be tolerated.
